The 9th annual Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon is Saturday, April 22.
Race your way through Adventure Island during the 9th annual Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon! In partnership with the Event Development Institute (EDI), this exciting event offers young athletes, experienced and first-timers alike, the unique opportunity to swim, bike and run in and around Busch Gardens’® premier water park, Adventure Island.
The Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon event is open to youth ages 6-14. Register today as the first 400 registrants will receive a complimentary "Stay and Play" ticket to Adventure Island®, valid on race day only. Additionally, all participants will receive a race-day "Swag Bag" including an official Under Armour race shirt and a finisher’s medal upon completion of the race. A portion of registration fees is donated to the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA).
2023 Registration Information
Online Registration for the 2023 Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon will close at 11:59 PM on Friday, April 21. You may register online at TampaBayKidsTriathlon.com or at packet pick-up on April 21st but there will not be Race Day registration available.
NEW IN 2023:
In an effort to allow for more participants, we will be moving away from two separate age divisions to a three-wave format. The three waves will be categorized by age range so that participants are still competing alongside others in their age group. Also, beginning this year there will no longer be a post-race trophy ceremony. The Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon is a FUN-raising event with a focus on fun, finishing and fundraising. In recent years, the trophy ceremony has overshadowed our mission of creating an unintimidating and exciting experience for all while helping spread Gavin Lambert’s “finisher’s spirit” and supporting Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA), our race beneficiary. In 2023 and beyond, all funds typically allocated to trophies will be repurposed and included in the overall charitable donation to FARA."
